SUPERVISION OF ZOOMLION ACTIVITIES
Desilting of main drains in Salaga township
Throughout the year, 2022 the staff of environmental health and sanitation unit carried out supervision on the zoomlion activities to ensure great improvement of sanitation in the municipality. The major areas supervised and monitored were:
- Sweeping of the major streets in town
- Desilting of township drains
- Clearing of unauthorized dumping sites
- Pushing, clearing and compaction of final disposal sites
- Picking and disposing of communal containers

MONTHLY REVIEW MEETING WITH ARTISANS AND FIELD FACILITATORS
 In other to improve data management and tracking of achievement so that impacts can be made in the implementation of WASH programme especially under the GoG-UNICEF Accelerated WASH programme. Monthly review meeting with Artisans and field facilitators was held for refresher training on BaSIS with support from UNICEF.
PURPOSE OF THE BaSIS TRAINING WAS:
·      To enable field facilitators to collect baseline data, progress data and end line data into the BaSIS
·      To follow artisans and collect all latrines updates, which artisans have constructed up to date into the BaSIS

To ascertain the progress made in the provision of sanitation and hygiene services in the communities
·      Also, to use the data as a bench mark for tracking future implementation activities.
Challenges
ü Field facilitators lack android phones to carry out the exercise
ü Few field facilitators who have android phones finding it difficult to use the application to collect data after the training
ü Poor network interruption
