Young persons in the East Gonja Municipal Assembly Salaga have been selected to be trained in various trade areas under the Skills Towards Employability and Productivity Project. (STEP)
The project, being implemented by the National Youth Authority (NYA) is designed to enhance and improve the lives of the beneficiaries through skills training.
Speaking at the roll out of the programme in Assembly Hall, the Salaga East Gonja Municipal, the Municipal Chief Executive of East Gonja Municipal Assembly, Hon Richard Broni said the STEP project is aimed at helping young people to become resilient and economically productive.

He said it is the estimation of the Authority that the project will help address the challenges of youth unemployment and related challenges such as teenage pregnancy, drug abuse among others.
