MCE GRACES LAUNCH OF SALAGA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL 50TH ANNIVERSARY; ANNOUNCES NEW DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS. 29TH NOVEMBER, 2025.

Salaga Senior High School has officially launched its 50th Anniversary celebration, marking half a century of dedication to academic excellence and moral discipline. The event attracted students, staff, alumni, traditional leaders, and community members who gathered to honour the school’s legacy and envision its future.

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of East Gonja Municipality, and a proud old student of the school, attended the event as the special guest of honour. Delivering a keynote address, he praised the institution for its remarkable contributions to education in the region.

He emphasised the essential role of good moral values in education, stating that “discipline and tolerance remain the backbone of every successful student.” He encouraged students to cultivate these virtues to excel academically and socially.

As part of the government commitment to quality education (FSHS), the MCE announced two major development interventions:

  1. Construction of a new girls’ dormitory through GETFUND, aimed at easing accommodation challenges.
  2. Provision of four boreholes to help address the school’s long-standing water needs.

The Headmaster of the school expressed appreciation for the MCE’s gesture. He noted that the support comes at a crucial time and will significantly improve teaching and learning conditions.

The school community expressed optimism and gratitude, looking forward to a memorable anniversary celebration and the successful execution of the promised projects.
