GHANA JOBS AND SKILLS PROJECT (GJSP) GHANA ENTERPRISE AGENCY
The Ghana Enterprises Agency under this component would be providing Entrepreneurship Training and Startup Grants for youth who have the potential to start a business.
The GJSP was commence on the 0n the 8th of 2023 and we had the opportunity for Hon. MCE to give an open address to participant.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Education: Minimum of BECE
- Unemployment youth from 18-40 years
- Potential willingness to start a business
- Existing youth MSMEs
- School dropouts already in business
Targeted Beneficiaries:50% of the target beneficiaries should be women and priority would be given to person with disability.
Online application and grant management portal was open for the general public to apply and the office was able to apply for over 800 people in East Gonja Municipality and out of the number of applicants a total number of one hundred and forty was qualify the readiness and needs assessment.
The training is in three level, Basic Level, Intermediate and Advanced level.
Coaching and Mentoring: GEA will identify Craft person, successful Entrepreneur, and Expert to serve as Mentors and Coaches.

- Cash and grant for working capital
- Regulatory and formalization and Grant Support
- Purchase of ICT Business solution
- Start-up kits (Tools, Equipment and Technology)
The first batch (Basic level) under the Ghana Jobs and Skills Projects training was successfully executed from 8th-12th ,2023 and the Intermediate level training date will be communicated to the office.70 participant took part in the Basic level and out of the total number 3 males and 66 females. The participant was divided into two groups and the training took place in two different venue, ICT Centre and Maridon Lodge.
The training ended successfully and our Hon. MCE came to give his closing remarks and presented the certificate of participation to the beneficiaries
